WELCOME TO THE JOURNEY

Welcome to Journey Church. You can get a religious experience anywhere. We focus on taking steps in our relationships and we believe that God wants to have a personal relationship with you. We want to encourage you to explore or take steps to experience more of God. In Him, we find our best life. SUNDAYS IN AUGUST: SUMMER PSALMS
We will continue our summer series for the first two weeks of August. We have been diving into the book of Psalms. The book of Psalms are songs, poems and writings with deep & honest reflections. You can follow along with the passages today and find more resources in the Bible App under the Event section. Check out the Event from week 2 here.

We have been on the lawn, but now we are back inside at 9:30 am and 11:00 am. For the month of August, we will have Journey Kids classes at the 9:30 am gathering only.

CHURCH AT THE BEACH: AUGUST 21
CHURCH AT THE PARK: SEPTEMBER 4
We will have two special Sundays coming up that are combined services with both of our sites. On August 21, we will have church at the beach at Marantha which will include a baptism service. On September 4, we will have Church in the Park at Hackley Park in downtown Muskegon. Both services will be family gatherings at 10:30 am and you will need to bring a chair. PARTNERSHIP TEAM NIGHT: WEDNESDAY AUG. 31 7:00 -8:00 pm
Partnership is all about own and living out the mission together. We have a new season starting at the end of August. We have two team nights a year and quarterly challenges to impact our lives and relationships. Our next season begins on August 31. More details here. 

COMMUNITY WORSHIP NIGHT: AUGUST 21 6:30 pm
Some of our band will be join with some other churches for a outdoor community worship night at the Montague Band Shell. Bring a chair and spend the night connecting the God.

NETWORK TEAMS

BACKPACK & SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE - August 14 - September 4
It's our annual event to help local kids in need. You can donate and drop off school supplies and backpacks at The Journey on a Sunday or anytime in the bins outside the front doors. Our Network Teams will get them to local schools and in the hands of kids who need help and support.

Be sure to pick up a "Summer Kids Pack" in-person or follow along online starting June 19th. Mark your calendar to pick up a prize at this month's Network Events! More details here.

NEXT STEP: TRY IT
As we get ready to kick-off a new school year, August & September is a great time to check out our Journey Kids team. Our team is focused on sharing God's love & story with kids in fun & meaningful ways. You can play a part by choosing to serve with a specific age group (birth - 5th grade), hosting families, or working behind-the-scenes. Sign-up for one Sunday to observe our team and see if it's a good fit for you.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT
Make plans to join in & invite friends to our water-themed Family Fun Night: August 17th, 6-8PM. Details here. Volunteer opportunities are available for set-up, tear down, hosting, and activity stations. If you'd like to volunteer at the event, contact Julie.
